A famous Buddhist temple known for its sacred Bo tree, considered one of the earliest offshoots of the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi in Anuradhapura. Features old structures, ancient paintings, and hosts the annual Esala Perahera procession with drummers, dancers, decorated tuskers, and trumpeters. Located 12 km from Colombo near Dehiwala-Maharagama road. Visitors must dress modestly.
