Beruwala Lighthouse
Located on Barberyn Island, this 112-ft tall white granite lighthouse was completed in 1889. The island is rich with coconut palms, exotic birds, reptiles, and peaceful nature. Accessible by a 10-minute boat ride from Beruwala town on the southwest coast, 56 km south of Colombo. The lighthouse has undergone several modernizations and is a major navigational aid.
