Diyaluma Falls
The third highest waterfall in Sri Lanka at 171 m, located near Koslanda in Badulla District. The waterfall cascades over a plateau with surrounding deciduous plants and supports local wildlife including lizards. It is a spectacular sight especially during rains.

π Legends & Stories
Folklore tells of a young chieftain banished to the highlands and his betrothed who tried to join him by climbing with a rope of creepers. Tragically, she died when dashed against rocks, and gods caused a stream of water to veil the tragedy, hence βDiyalumaβ (liquid light).
