Galle Face Green
A large ocean-side urban park in Colombo, famous for spectacular sunsets over the Indian Ocean. Originally designed in 1859 by Governor Sir Henry George Ward, it was once a venue for horse racing, golf, cricket, and kite flying. Today, it is a popular spot for locals and tourists to enjoy evening strolls, street food, and cultural events. Nearby landmarks include the iconic Galle Face Hotel, Kingsbury Hotel, Taj Samudra, Old Parliament Building, Hotel Galadari, and the World Trade Centre.
