Kataragama
A sacred multi-religious town in southern Sri Lanka, famous for the Kataragama Temple complex, Kiri Vehera, and Sella Kataragama. It is a major pilgrimage site for Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, and Christians. Known for its vibrant annual perahera and daily rituals, Kataragama is spiritually and culturally significant. The Manik Ganga river flows near the temple, used for purification rituals.
