Kebiliththa Devalaya

Hidden deep in the Yala National Park (Sector 4), this sacred jungle shrine is believed to be a spiritual retreat of God Kataragama. The journey is an intense spiritual pilgrimage requiring fasting, silence, and purity. Devotees cross rough jungle terrain and Kumbukkan Oya, where rituals and oil lamps are lit. The site features a mystical tamarind tree said to never grow, and another tree with a natural bark formation of the deity. Strict rituals and discipline define the journey, which tests physical endurance and spiritual devotion.
