Hidden near Yalapotha village in Lahugala, Kotaveheragala is the site of an ancient temple perched on a rocky outcrop, with a ruined stupa made of bricks dating back to 3rdβ1st century BC. A 150-step stone stairway leads to the summit, where views of the forest surround the ancient stupa.
