Senanayaka Samudraya (Inginiyagala)
Largest man-made reservoir in Sri Lanka, part of the Gal Oya Development Project post-independence. Cradled by the mountains of Inginiyagala between Siyabalanduwa and Ampara. Supports irrigation for over 70,000 families, sustains local wildlife, and offers scenic boat rides, especially around islets and the famous Makara Kata (Dragonβs Mouth whirlpool).
